As I watched a seed sigh on the
song of a slipstream I realized
that
what was once its hope to fly
was now its trust in the breeze
what was once its dream to take root
was now contingent upon the currents that carry
this cocoon
this chrysalis of beginning
its weight – which warps the wind –
a contribution
to the dictation
of its destination.
